AWESOME!!!! All three of my children went to NCE. Great teachers, environment, administration. We moved to this neighborhood so that we would be zoned to this elementary school.

I am absolutely impressed with every aspect of this school. The teachers and staff go a long way every day to bring out the very best in all of their students, not just academically, but socially, as well. Like many other families, we did our research and moved to Katy for the excellent schools, and I knew my kids would receive a high quality education regardless of which campus they attended. But, I never expected to find a public school in any district where the teachers and staff would care so much and do so much to make sure my children are successful and self-confident. When they get on the bus every morning, I don't feel like I'm sending them out into a cold, harsh world. Another parent commented that NCE is a wonderful place for children to grow up and learn. I wholeheartedly agree and could not be more thrilled for my kids that they are happy to go to school each day and they're happy when they get home. I highly recommend NCE to any family looking at schools in Katy. You will love it.

This school is so impressive, we feel like we truly won the lottery in having stumbled upon it. The campus is so small, it has the atmosphere and tight knot feeling of community you may have thought only existed in a private school environment. As an Ivy League educated physician and parent, I am more then impressed with the education my daughter is receiving and am equally impressed by the Gifted and Talented program at this campus as well. My children enjoy classes in Art and Music and they have a 5th grade Aeropace program as well. There is a high level of parent involvement and everyone looks out for one another and one another's children. We have attended musicals and special events and you can tell how much each and every teacher lives working at th school. They are happy and the kids are happy. It honestly seems too goo to be true. We will be very sad once our kids leave NCE. It has been an absolutely wonderful experience. Many of these parents move on I MPJH. So we hope this is a good sign of what we can expect from that CPUs.

Very pleased with this neighborhood school. The staff that cares about the children and want to see the kids succeed. The parent involvement, along side with the teachers goes hand and hand at this school, the teaches seem to go out of their way to help with the students. I can't say enough about how good this school is. I am proud to say that my child goes to NCE!!!!

As a parent of 3 who moved to katy from Round Rock near Austin, we have been disappointed with this school. The front office staff is generally rude. We have had problems with the teachers and the administration has not been helpful in the situations. Their grading policies are highly subjective to the teacher's whims and we have been given no answers to examples of actual grades based on work. Our child is GT and that has been the one saving grace. His GT teacher is incredible. Overall, this school's staff thinks they are better than they are. I would keep looking if we were moving again.

Academically, NCE is beyond outstanding. The climate, however, has significantly changed in the last two years. When my daughter, who is now a sophomore at Taylor, was at Nottingham, parent volunteers were everywhere. The halls were happy and inviting. The school was exemplary every year. My children excelled emotionally, socially, and academically. The teachers remain outstanding, but the welcoming feel is gone. I would love to have it back!!

My child has autism and we have struggled with his schools and placement since he was three. I had been in a different KISD school, but he was not successful. A friend at another website recommended Nottingham because the teachers and special ed staff and the principal are very forward thinking. They understand students with autism and work so amazingly with them and with parents. In the time he started there to now he has made amazing progress. I never imagined he would do so great. The teachers and staff are to get full credit for this. The principal really knows all of the children well and talks to them all the time. She loves the kids and they know it. She and the staff are even mentors to kids!

My husband was transferred to Katy by his company and we had been attending a private school. We thought the children were getting an excellent education there, but when we came to Nottingham, our son and daughter were very far behind in their studies. The teachers worked long hours trying to help catch them up to the other students. The principal was happy to meet with us and provide suggestions. She cared very much about the children and their success and feelings. I can't say enough good things about this school and the amazing teachers. This is a wonderful place to grow up and learn. The staff love and care about all of the kids and the kids really know it.

My daughter just finished Kindergarten at NCE. What a fantastic experience for her! She had an excellent first-year teacher who made every child in the class feel special and valued. The Kinder program is extremely 'busy' and I do not mean busy work; it may seem like it at first but you soon realize that there is a reason for everything they do. The Kinder team teachers work very hard at making sure our children are learning what they need to know in terms of reading, writing, math and so much more. It was an adjustment at first, as all things are, but my daughter picked up on the well thought out routine quickly and is excited about and ready for first grade. The entire staff at NCE should be commended for their hard work and dedication to the education our children.

Our children have been to 3 other KISD Schools, due to re-zoning and then we moved. I have to say that NCE is the best school we have attended. They were behind at first, but with us working with them, along with the excellent teaching staff, they caught up and did well. All their test scores increased during their time at NCE. Our youngest is a 5th grader, unfortunately no longer at NCE, although I wish we were still there - She definitely does not have the homework our older daughter had while at NCE - which concerns me a great deal, since I know what Jr. High requires. I do not think our new school is as good as NCE, even though it is rated highly. In my opinion, NCE is by far one of the best Elementary Schools in KISD.

The education that a child receives in Katy ISD far exceeds other school districts and truly prepares the child for academic success in college. NCE is a Great school! The parent and community support at NCE is outstanding. NCE has a wonderful staff who truly work hard and care about the students. The Aerospace program at NCE is absolutely fantastic. Thanks NCE for 25 wonderful years!
